Small Steps to Giant Leaps — Sound Effects

Participants will be introduced to the “Sound Effects” activity, where students construct an amplifier that illustrates various principles of sound. Learn about motion, forces, transfer of energy and matter. Review the history of X-planes and NASA aeronautical research, and discuss the future of NASA aeronautics innovation. Learn about NASA’s newest X-plane, the X-59 Quiet Supersonic Technology (QueSST), and the research being conducted on quiet supersonic flight.
